The Beaver Lake yacht Club is a volunteer organization. If you are interested in volunteering or participating please contact us.
Rick joined the BLYC board in October of 2022 to take on the volunteer role as Commodore. Rick grew up on Lac Labelle where his family was active in the sailing community. Rick, and his wife Maureen, moved onto the lake in 2016. He is is excited to work with a dedicated board to honor and refine our club's deep history; and to serve our members in maximizing the valuable lake resources and traditions of which we are proud to be the stewards.
Bill and his wife, Kristen, made their "lake home" their permanent home in 2022. In the fall of 2024, they will be empty nesters, but look forward to having their four children back home often.
Suzannah and her husband Matt moved Beaver Lake in 2010. You may spot their 3 kids, Mac, Walt and Ruby playing football or soccer on the lawn, playing with the family’s dogs, fishing or swimming by the pier or boating around the lake. suzannahmb@gmail.com
grew up on Beaver Lake when we moved here in the early 70's. My father had two great aunts who had summer homes on the lake in 1940's and 50's and he always wanted to live here. It was a dream come true when Hank and I and our three now grown children moved back on in 2004. I did get a few more years of sailing an MC on Beaver and my kids were in the Opti program and thoroughly enjoyed the lake fun. These days you will find me swimming, pontooning, kayaking, skating or walking the shore depending on the season! It is a beautiful place to play and be with friends.
Karen and her husband Russ have lived on the lake for over 35 years and raised their children here (7). She is a life long lake person and loves all that Beaver Lake has to offer. Her husband Russ served as the rear commodore in the past and now she is offering her time and energy to continue the great work of the board. If you see Karen around she will most likely be boating, reading, hiking , laughing and spending time with her children and 16 grandchildren who all love the lake as much as she does. She is a life long learner and is happy to be part of the lake community.
Liz and I love Beaver Lake! Our family has been a part of the lake going back to my parents home in 1985 and then our own in 2015.We have a black lab and four boys – all grown, but enjoy returning often. I’m happy to help on the Board and contribute
to a wonderful lake community !
Joe and I found and fell in love with Beaver Lake 15 years ago when we bought a 100-year-old house on the lake. While raising our two children – Carly and Joey – in Winnetka IL we would come to the lake every weekend all summer long -,enjoying swimming, waterskiing, and hanging on the dock! We have now built a new home for us and generations to come to enjoy. I am looking forward to being part of the BLYC board and this wonderful lake community..
